Consigning with Little Folks Trading Post & The Hanger

Welcome!  We’re pleased that you want to become part of our shop!  Here’s how it works:

Call us at 563-552-2259 to make an appointment to bring items in on consignment!

Please carefully sort through your items and select the best for review. We accept gently used Children’s clothing.  We also accept Junior, Misses, Plus, Mens & Maternity clothing and items.  (We do not accept items with garage stickers or sales event tags.)  Clothing & items must be in current style (less than 4 years).  We accept clothing in the following seasons: 

SPRING & EASTER
January-Easter
We will accept: short sleeve tees & tops, 3/4 tees & tops,  long sleeve sweater cardigans, lightweight sweaters,  long sleeve &  short sleeve hoodies, long sleeve sweatshirts, Spring jackets, Easter dresses (including sleeveless, capris, jeans, pants, Soccer Cleats and some shorts.
Will not accept Winter themed items, holiday items and fur trimed items during this season.

SUMMER
March-May
We will accept: sleeveless tanks & tops, short sleeve tees & tops, lightweight long sleeve sweater cardigans & hoodies, Summer sleeveless & short sleeve dresses, shorts, capris.  Will not accept pants, jeans, long sleeve tees or tops, long sleeve sweaters during this season.

FALL/BACK-TO-SCHOOL
June-October
We will accept: school uniforms, short sleeve tees & tops, long sleeve sweater cardigans, football jerseys (short sleeve & long sleeve), long sleeve & short sleeve hoodies, long sleeve sweatshirts, Fall jackets, Winter Jackets, football cleats/pads, some shorts, capris, Jeans & Pants.
We will not accept summer themed clothing, summery dresses or tops and sleeveless tops during this seasaon.  We will not accept thick fleece, thick sweaters, winter themed items, fur trimed items and holiday items until September.

HALLOWEEN
August-October
Halloween Costumes, Halloween themed clothing and Halloween items.

WINTER & HOLIDAY
September-December
We will accept: Winter jackets, Winter boots, snow pants, all Sweaters, long sleeve tees, long sleeve hoodies, long sleeve sweatshirts, Holiday dresses/outfits, Christmas themed outfits, Jeans and pants.
We will not accept summer themed clothing, summery dresses or tops and sleeve less tops (unless holiday) during this season.

Clothing must be brought to Little Folks Trading Post/The Hanger in a medium size plastic tote (21 gallons or less), laundry basket or box.  Please no plastic bags, garbage bags or hangers.  Please neatly fold clothing and put outfits together.  THERE IS A LIMIT OF 2 MEDIUM SIZE TOTES/BOXES PER DROP.  You can do a drop off up to one hour before closing.

We are always concerned with the safety of our littlest customers.  Please check the safety of your toys and equipment at www.cpsc.gov before bringing them to Little Folks Trading Post.

We will review your items and select the items our customers will buy and explain why we passed on any items. Please do not be offended if there are items we are not able to accept. 

Within the next few business days we will hang and tag your accepted items and place them on the sales floor. Consignment period will be 60 days from the day the items are put on the sales floor.  Little Folks Trading Post/The Hanger sets the selling price and markdowns.
In the event that there are some consigned items that do not sell, the consignor may retrieve those items between the 60th and 70th day of the consignment period. You can also retrieve Holiday clothing & items up to 1 week after the holiday. When you come to pull your items we will happily print a list of your unsold items to aid you in your search.  If you do not pick up the remaining unsold items, they will become property of Little Folks Trading Post/The Hanger and be donated.

When an item sells, the consignor receives 50% of the final selling price.  You can access your account through the Consignor Login at our website littlefolkstradingpost.com.  Stop in any time for money owed to you. Persons collecting money must present a photo ID. You can take your money in cash (up to $50) or credit.  If you cannot come in, checks can be mailed for amounts over $30 around the 15th of every month with a $3.00 check fee.       
We will do our best to safeguard your items, but we are not responsible for losses due to fires, theft, flood or accidental damage.
